THANKFUL THURSDAYS!

Wristbands are a great reminder of values to live by and shape our choices.  Pastor Rich has invited the congregation to join him in a campaign to increase thankfulness.  Being thankful for what we have helps us guard against becoming spiritually off-balanced with our financial stewardship.   Pick up your wristband at church and join us!

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:

Buy nothing unnecessary on Thursdays. Sounds easy, but commit yourself to do it. It’s more challenging than you think. But you’re not alone. God makes the impossible possible! One way God does this is by giving us each other to encourage each other and be the church together.

INSTEAD:

Be thankful for what you already have.  Share with others what you’re thankful for, and how it encourages you to keep your financial balance as a good steward.

For a little added push, consider making a donation to our church instead of buying more stuff. If you really are urged to spend on a Thankful Thursday, give instead!

Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Truly I tell you, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.’ When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astounded and said, ‘Then who can be saved?’ But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible.’ Matthew 19:23-26
